North central APC commends Tinubu for heeding their call for NEC meeting, national convention
The North Central All Progressive Congress (APC) Forum has commended President Bola Tinubu for heeding their call to convene the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party towards planning for the national convention.
Speaking with newsmen on Wednesday in Jos the Plateau State capital on the issue, the forum’s Chairman, Alhaji Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, said the President has canvassed for the meeting through a letter from his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, to Umar Ganduje to be slated for September.
According to Zazzaga, the President, in the letter, is opting for either September 8 or September 19 for the NEC meeting, saying that their excitement is that the North Central APC has been calling the attention of the President to intervene in several issues brewing crises in the party, and to call for national convention.
Zazzaga who was also a member of the Presidential Campaign Council in the last election explained that the NEC meeting is a stepping stone towards the convention which they have been looking forward to using to ventilate some of their grievances in the party, especially from the North Central region which is a solid bedrock of the party.
“We want to commend President Bola Tinubu for calling the NEC meeting of the APC in this coming September. This has been our long term cry of the North Central APC so that many issues concerning the party can be addressed, and so that we can equally table our grievances from the North Central region and get it addressed before we forge ahead and intensify our plans ahead of the 2027 election.
“So the letter calling for the meeting from the President through his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, to plan out the convention before the end of the year is a welcome development. This shows the President has listened to our call.
“Our role in APC from the from the North Central perspective right from the 2015 election to the 2023 election was very critical towards the success of the party at the polls.
“Hence, we will not spare any effort to pursue our cause and do things that will generally uplift the North Central zone, while we will continue to deepen our loyalty to the APC in general and continue working for the success of the party in one way or the order.
“Beside the strong contribution of the North Central to the development and sustenance of the APC over the years, as well as the tremendous support we gave to the emergence of President Bola Tinubu as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the region has also delivered five governors for the APC out of the six states in the North Central region.
“Apart from Plateau State which is of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kwara, Niger, Benue, Kogi and Nasarawa State is of the APC, and therefore the North Central region has made a strong statement on its achievement for the party and therefore deserves to be listened to and given its due respect and request.
“And our demand from the North Central is a well known fact. The North Central APC Forum along with various leaders and chieftains of the APC from the region have been intensifying push for the zoning of the National Chairmanship position of the party to the region, because that position is well deserved by the region owing to its contribution and it is our constitutional right, as well as the party arrangement.
“So, after the resignation of Abdullahi Adamu from Nasarawa State, someone from the North Central region should have been picked to replace him as the National Chairman, and not Abdullahi Ganduje from the North West state of Kano.
“That is why we have dragged Ganduje to the Federal High Court in Abuja, and the judgement is coming up on September 18 (a day before one of the dates, September 19, proposed by President Bola Tinubu for the convention). In any case, this NEC meeting should resolve so many lingering issues in the party,” he said.
Zazzaga said there are lots of intending prominent defectors from other political parties in the region, and they have been in close contact and communication with them, but many of them are reluctant to do so as they made it clear that they are not comfortable with the current party leadership led by Ganduje who is currently incurring legal liabilities for the party, even from his Kano State ward, as well as other charges against him.
Meanwhile, he lauded President Tinubu for the way he handled the recent national protest, saying that he did not make any inflammatory remarks, but rather outlined the steps taken by his administration to settle the numerous challenges in the country, even inherited ones.
He said the North Central APC also played a key role in making sure that there was no violent protest in the region as seen in some other places, adding that their press conference before the protest which they presented their stand on the protest, as well as their accompanying youths engagement had paid off.

Urges President Tinubu to Listen to Cries of the Protesters Nation Wide.
Ogunenwa Audu Jos
Prophet Isa El-Buba the Global Convener Initiative for Better and Brighter Nigeria ( IBBN) has Commended all resilient Nigerians, who have taken responsibility for their country for coming out to join #JosEndBadGovernanceProtest and indeed across Nigeria.
Prophet El-Buba who gave this commendation while addressing newsmen at his Jos residence on Monday, called on all of Nigerians to continue with demanding and the pursuit for a better Nigeria in unity and solidarity- just like” we have exemplified in the past four days here on the Plateau- with an unwavering commitment to non-violent resistance to injustice, corruption and lack of accountability”
He commended peaceful Prosters in Jos for the past for four days of united and peaceful protests in Jos and across Nigeria.
,”as we voiced our collective grievances and demanded for better governance. Its more than gratifying that our assembly across the country, especially the #JosEndBadGovernanceProtest has remained largely peaceful.Unfortunately, over 40 Nigerian people were massacred and several others injured in other parts of the country largely by security operatives and state-sponsored thugs in other states”
“. Our IBBN Youth Coordinator in Lagos state Comrade P-money Pascal was also a victim of these brutal attacks by the sponsored thugs who infiltrated our protests. We stand with them and our thoughts are with all of them for standing and fighting for a better Nigeria and a free Nation- where the President wouldn’t be greater than the rest of the country”
According to him,. Obviously “we have all succeeded in demonstrating that Nigerians are not and can never be slaves who will surrender their fundamental and democratic rights to anti-poor policies of self-serving, near tyrant regimes”
He urged Nigerians to. remain abundantly known that “we are against any form of violence and the vandalization of government and private individuals-owned properties as we go about demanding for Change- we must guide this”
. El-Buba said their hallmark remains non-violent resistance any time, any day and everywhere.
” Apparently, a lot of people have expressed fears about the protest. But like we may all be aware, Nigeria has been sitting on a time bomb for long concerning bad leadership, bad economy, insecurity etc. It was only a matter of time before the people would revolt and push back insensitive, selfish and tyrannical leadership.”
He added that if the national and subnational governments don’t change their ways to become responsive and responsible to the citizenry, what we have seen might just be the tip of an iceberg- He warned
“the revolution will simply not be televised! Because when you push a dog to the wall, it will bite you. Nigerians have been pushed to the wall for too long!Unfortunately, We’ve had this discussions severally that it’s dangerous for government not to address underlying trigger issues, we have given several advisories and media advocacies- they all fell on the deaf ears of self-serving despots” ..
“we call government. Listen everybody, we have a lot of hopeless people who have given up in this country and they have purposed in their hearts that there’s no more way to survive”
.”They’ve concluded that the government cannot and will not solve any problem in Nigeria. There’s nothing to live for again for them because of the total neglect of citizens and disconnect between citizens and government.Have we thought about the internally displaced people (IDP’s) where they are, how they’re surviving, what’s happening to them. They’ve largely been sacked by Boko Haram, bandits and kidnappers from their ancestral lands. We go about our normal businesses in the cities pretending that all is well”
He asked if . ” we ever thought of all this people and wonder how they’re surviving?Like I said before, what will trigger trouble will shock and surprise everybody in Nigeria. The President, National Assembly members and other Nigerians and their cronies, cannot be living lavishly at the expense of majority of Nigerians and preaching that the people should sacrifice for tomorrow. It doesn’t happen like that.Things are really bad in the country, no justice, no security, no food. It’s a very dangerous time we’re living in presently.” Prophet El-Buba warned
“My Foundation, the Dr. Isa El-Buba Foundation carried out a medical outreach in a Community in Bassa Local Government- where they provided free consultation, diagnosis and medications for the community. The most prevalent ailment diagnosed and drugs administered for was Ulcer!Though a lot of holier than thou are saying Christians and churches should not be on the streets protesting. Well, who bears church members bills, and have we thought how our church members” he asked
” Shall we continue to lead them to pray that God will make a way for them, when we sincerely know that the system and structure of this country is what needs to be fixed, if not overhauled for there to come about a way? Someone said and I quote” An average Nigerian may not remember God if he has the opportunity to travel abroad where things are working and he suddenly finds out that most of his basic needs he use to pray for are not prayer points in his new location”.
He said some of the prayer points “we make in Nigeria are simply routine governance supplies in other climes. We can only pray that the good LORD will take charge of this country and avert any evil as a result of bad governance over the years” .
“We have heard President Tinubu’s Sunday 4th August 2024 self-praising speech about the protests by the Nigerian Youths and people over the condition of hunger and hardship in the country which greatly failed to speak to the specific demands of protesters”
Prophet El-Buba said President.Tinubu did not speak on reversing his horrible and devastating economic policies, he made no attempt to cut down government excessive spending on frivolities and over bloated cabinet of non-performing Ministers.
..”Tinubu made no concessions but was quick to call for dialogue without outlining any meaningful machinery or system in place for this and ordering for the suspension of our protests. Instead of getting frightened about our ever peaceful and united End Bad Governance protests and in the case of Plateau State, shamefully using the Governor of Plateau State in an attempt to truncate legitimate voices through curfew imposement in a peaceful Jos metropolis;”
” we call on President Tinubu to simply rise to the occasion and speak to the issues and demands of protesters”
.He urged President Tinubu to come to terms with their protests which have nothing to do with political partisanship; but remains borne by Nigeria’s current hardship which is not survivable, and fueled by Bad governance.
He advised President Tinubu to know that there remains no alternative to restoring petrol and electricity subsidies as Energy security for the Nigerian people now will enhance national security since it was these subsidies whose removal created the conditions that powers the protests in the first scenario.
” We therefore call on President Tinubu to be weary of the sycophancy and flattery by subordinates who are shielding him from the brutal harsh truths of the Nigerian state and making him lose touch with reality.” .” Our demands simply remain:Mr. President should show sensitivity and leadership to the plight of ordinary Nigerians by leading in making sacrifices through cutting down on excessive government spending as well as cutting the cost of governance in Nigeria- especially on abolishing spending plans like expending N150 Billion for an Airbus A330 Presidential Jet, the allocation of N13.5 billion renovation of presidential villa, and or N7.3 billion for the purchase of state house cars and similar vexatious spending unbecoming of a President who wants poor Nigerians to show understanding and make sacrifices for harrowing hardship and penury brought about by same government’s policies,
Prophet Isa El-Buba Commends Peaceful Prosters In Jos in the Last Four Days,
He also urged President to relieve from his cabinet, non performing Ministers and bring on board a crack team of technocrats that would deliver on every sector so as to move Nigeria forward
.President Bola Ahmed he demands Tinubu should reinstate a corruption-free fuel subsidy regime to address hunger, starvation and poverty or empower Nigerian indigenous private/government oil refineries to locally access and refine crude oil in Nigeria to crash down the cost of exporting crude oil and importing petrol.

El-Buba emphasized that the protest is not just about the present but about securing a better future for all Nigerians.
“We must end bad governance in Nigeria. When the right institutions are in place, there will be no more hunger in the land, the killings will stop, and our armed forces will enjoy their services to the people,” .
El-Buba urged Nigerians to stay committed to the cause, even if it takes days of continued protest, declaring, “We are taking Nigeria back… Enough is enough.”
El-Buba also criticized the manipulation of Nigerians based on religious and tribal affiliations and called for a return to the values of unity and shared national identity.
“We grew up in a nation where our tribe or religion didn’t matter—we were Nigerians first. Today, we are reclaiming that Nigeria,” he said, recalling a time when government services and opportunities were more accessible to all citizens of Nigeria “

The North Central All Progressive Congress (APC) Forum has cautioned the Plateau State chapter of the party against what it termed swindling of aspirants seeking elective positions in the forth-coming local government election, saying such act will be harmful to success of the party at the polls.
Speaking with newsmen on Saturday in Jos, the Plateau State capital the forum’s Chairman, Alhaji Saleh Mandung Zazzaga said they gathered that the party is planning to sell the nomination forms at exorbitant prices, and that they don’t have any meaningful framework or structure that will give the aspirants maximum advantage against other political parties, especially the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He lamented that the APC leaders in Plateau are not on ground and that they have since recoiled into their shells since the Supreme Court judgement which gave Governor Caleb Mutfwang of the PDP victory.
“It is so bad that APC leaders from Plateau State had to go and meet in Lafia, Nasarawa State, for a reconciliatory engagement and planning on how to reposition the party for greater successes ahead 2027 general election in the state. Why Nasarawa State? That is an absolute sign that the party in not on ground in Plateau, and their preparedness for the forthcoming election is not looking solid enough.
“But the fillers we are getting is that they only want to collect nomination fees from the aspirants at exorbitant prices, but without any solid framework and structure to drive the aspirations to victory. That is unacceptable. So, there is need for us to sit down to strategize and plan very well on how to excel at the local government election, and to use it as a stepping stone towards a bigger and more formidable strategy towards the 2027 general election,” he said.
He said local politics cannot be won from outside, and therefore called on all the party officials operating from outside on local political or party matters to be more on ground engineering different political activities to show that the party is still a force to reckon with in the state, saying that it will give the members/supporters, aspirants and the general masses hope on the party.
Zazzaga called on the citizens of the state and all the political parties participating in the election to be peaceful in their political activities before, during and after the polls, saying that no meaningful progress can be made in n atmosphere of rancor and chaos.
He also called on Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) to endeavour to conduct a free, fair and credible election without fear or favour, pointing out that they are the hope of the people, and that any wrong action from them can deprive the people of their electoral voice and rights.

"Something like headache, malaria, hypertisis and other avoidable illnesses should not kill a person. We thought alot of people are dying and they need help. In fact some people are just walking dead bodies because they do not know that they are sick and need help", Deborah warned . She commended the people of Miango for the massive turn out, describing it as very impressive because this was the first Medical outreach they have embarked upon among other empowerment Programmes to Orphanages and giving grants over the years.
