In the spirit of Christmas, Christ Image Assembly (C.I.A.) has extended its hands out to over 4,000 less privileged individuals in Plateau State through its annual Community-Based Outreach.
The event, which was held at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium in Jos at the weekend, saw the Church leaders providing food hampers and medical assistance to beneficiaries, including the elderly, physically challenged, and those facing financial hardships.
Speaking at the event, Pastor Bode Orekoya, the Senior Pastor and General Overseer of Christ Image Assembly, described the outreach as a practical demonstration of Christ’s love.
“For 20 years, we’ve carried out this initiative to serve the less privileged, not just in Plateau State but globally through our branches, including the UK, where we reach out to the homeless,” Pastor Orekoya stated.
The outreach featured free medical consultations and the distribution of essential supplies.

Some of the beneficiaries, Mohamed Shuibu and Jumai Nongleng expressed heartfelt gratitude.
“They show us love every year, and because of them, I now have food to cook for my family and even share with neighbors,” Shuibu said.
One beneficiary shared a touching testimony of how receiving a hamper from the church 20 years ago changed her life.
“I woke up unsure of what my children would eat for Christmas, but that package gave me hope,” she said.
The chairperson of the planning committee, Pastor Gladys Adenikinju, emphasized the church’s inclusivity and commitment to bringing hope to all, regardless of tribe, age, or religion.
As the outreach marks its 20th anniversary, Pastor Orekoya reiterated the church’s dedication to ensuring no one feels abandoned during the festive season.
“Seeing the smiles on people’s faces makes every sacrifice worth it. This is the true meaning of Christmas – sharing love, hope, and joy,” he concluded.
The Christ Image Assembly’s annual outreach has become a symbol of unity and compassion in Plateau state, bridging divides spreading the message of Christ’s unconditional love.
